Rebecca Sobek, SPHR
Rebecca Sobek, SPHR and Partner, has been in Human Resources management for thirteen years and has lived in the Vail Valley since 1990. With a Bachelor's degree from Illinois State University, Rebecca was hired at Cordillera to do basic administration work and moved her way up and spent the last five years of her tenure there as Vice President of Human Resources. She holds a current Senior Professional Human Resources certification from the Society of Human Resources Management. Rebecca is very knowledgeable in the areas of benefits administration, finance, employee coaching/counseling, documentation and general employment law. Rebecca and her husband live in Eagle Ranch and enjoy home improvement projects, entertaining and hiking.
Hollis Haselhorst Dempsey, SPHR
Hollis Haselhorst, SPHR and Partner, has been in Human Resource Management for seven years. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado, she found her calling in the HR industry and worked in the Human Resources department at Vail Resorts. While there, she gained knowledge in the recruiting industry where she was responsible for seasonal recruitment for both Vail and Beaver Creek resorts. After spending three years with Vail Resorts she was hired by Cordillera. During her time at Cordillera she was exposed to all areas of HR. She holds a current Senior Professional Human Resource Certification from the Society of Human Resource Management. She is passionate about working with management and problem solving. Hollis and her husband, Dave live in Eagle and enjoy rafting, skiing, hiking and camping.
Teresa Friel
Teresa Friel, HR Generalist, has been in Human Resources Management for 13 years and has lived in the Vail Valley since 1996. After working for eight years as a Personnel Consultant, Teresa began her 10 year employment with the Vail Cascade Resort & Spa as Human Resources Manager and then was promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2001. In her role as Director, Teresa experienced managing all facets of Human Resources to include; benefits, recruiting, employee relations, training, general employment law, and leadership development. Teresa currently lives in Gypsum with her husband Mike and her daughter Madelyn.
